Case: Long wait at the hospital

The interpreter is on an assignment at the hospital where the waiting time is growing excessively long. The interpreter asks one of the nurses if his/her services will still be needed, otherwise he/she will leave. The nurse appears very upset by the interpreter’s question and says that she is not the one to blame for the delay, that she does not appreciate being rushed just because the interpreter wants to leave.
