This is the third course in Module 3  of the Community Interpreter Core Training Program. This course is designed to help interpreters develop key terminology and foundational skills for working in legal and sensitive environments. You will gain a general understanding of Canada’s justice system, become familiar with essential civil and criminal legal terms, and learn specific vocabulary related to violence against women and sexual assault. Through practical exercises, you’ll strengthen your ability to interpret accurately and ethically in challenging situations.
