This is the fourth course in Module 2 of the Community Interpreter Core Training Program. This course equips interpreters with foundational knowledge and critical thinking tools to recognize, understand, and address oppression and marginalization in professional settings.

We will cover:

Define oppression and identify its systemic nature.  

Reflect on how oppression affects interpreters and clients. 

Apply respectful engagement principles in sensitive scenarios.
